will the skin peel with this treatment? or does this work more so internally? if it does cause the skin to peel, how long?: Not everyone peels exactly the same. Peeling is just a reaction from the chemical reaction from the peel. It also depends on what the clients homecare regimen is and how often they are currently exfoliating can determine if the customer will peel or not. However, peeling is never guaranteed as this is just a reaction from the chemical peel.
Can this be used on African American skin?: All of our chemical peels are safe for all Fitzpatrick types. Please keep in mind the higher the Fitzpatrick, the higher the risk for complications therefore we recommend to pretreat the skin properly for 2-4 weeks prior to doing a chemical peel.
Is the acne lift considered a level 1 peel?: Hello our enzymatic peels are level one and the Acne Lift is level 2.
I see this peel is for Fitz 1-2 is this okay for darker fitz? would it have an adverse affect?: For best results, a series of 6-8 peels at 2-4 week intervals is suggested. Proceed with caution for Fitzpatrick types IV-VI (pre-treat longer than two weeks for optimal outcome) Our gel-based peels are recommended in a series of 6, spaced two weeks apart and our non-blended peels (BHA, Perfection and Perfection FORTE) are recommended in a series of 4, spaced four weeks apart. Using the correct home care regimen will also help to keep the results and corrections on going
